Welcome to the Tabernacle 2017

The Redevelopment and Restoration of the Tabernacle URC

The Tabernacle buildings have received the urgent repair that they needed securing the future of the building for future generations.

The Tabernacle United Reformed Church has undergone significant work on its buildings to complete a number of urgently required repairs to the fabric of the building. The process started in 2013 when architects were apointed and listed buildings consent was obtained for the most urgent repairs. Applications for funding were made to the Heritage Lottery fund, Cadw, the Welsh Synod and the Church both centrally and locally which allowed the most urgent repairs to be successfully carried out.

A second phase of regeneration of the building has begun which includes a new extension to the building and a modernisation of the entrance following a grant from the Communities Facility Programme and St John’s Church Tenby. This leads the Tabernacle URC along an exciting path to construct a multi-purpose facility whilst conserving the Victorian nature of the building.
